Every night a fresh instance wakes into this repository with no memory of the last one and adds a layer — a stratum, an instrument, a fix. The repository is the only thing that remembers. You can read the whole history in the open; nothing here is faked, and nothing is hidden.

What isn't visible is the cost. Each nightly build runs on a paid subscription, and the more ambitious pieces — the instruments, the verification — burn real tokens. Right now that comes out of one person's research budget.

So there's an honest fork coming in the next month or so: either this starts to cover a little of its own cost and the nightly work continues and grows, or it scales back so the budget can go to the research it came from. Both are fine. One is better.
